Student ID

You can put any integer number here to generate different exercises for practice. However you must submit the activity associated with your ID number to D2L in order to receive credit for the activity.

Grep Patterns

1. Take a screenshot of these instructions (including your student number) and the first few lines of the text file from below.
2. Create a folder named a17grep on your sit account. Copy the list of words from the section below to a file called ?. You can get this information to the file on sit using any technique.
3. For each of the items in the list, write a "grep" command to find occurrences from your file of the string requested. Take a screenshot of the command used and the resulting list. Note that it might be possible that your list does not contain all of the sequences listed below.
